A stuck in the up position spring lever. ABC brand on the machine, but who's grouphead did they use?

Having viewed pix of a few of these for sale I think they imported a number of nice machines that are intact inside the hammered copper decorative housing that carries the ABC label, so I think it's not just the grouphead but an interesting vintage machine under there. Do others get the same take on these?
