Yes, your assumption is correct, I did order the parts in the States.
The main reason being because Doug and Barbara at Orphanespresso are very knowledgeable and have a fabulous reputation for getting things done correctly.

The machine is presently in my garage, however I did take a couple of photgraphs I was not very happy with, so on a sunny day I will get the neighbour to give me a hand getting the machine in a sunny spot.

yes, orphanespresso has a great reputation even here in europe, nothing wrong with ordering there! i just always think its better to keep ways small, not only for financial, also for environmental reasons...
