I found this for sale and am curious what gaggia it is. I know it is not working but I am not an expert on this style of lever machines and just can not figure out what model it is.

Thanks for any info.

search forum for gaggia orione. We've talked about these fellas a few times.

mid-late 70s gaggia rebodied in US by the likes of ABC in California.

Good luck! and post lots of pics.
cheers

Yep, I think you are right. I am just trying to decide if I want a project as the element isn't working. But after my last restoration experience I've learned nothing is ever as easy as it seems.

Basically I am gonna have to decide how much and how available the parts are. Now that I have somewhere to start that will help.

This maybe dead in the water but call these guys http://www.deluxecoffeepasta.com/default2.asp formerly ABC Pasta, they are still doing custom rebuilds and probably have parts.. You will need to rebuild the piston assembly for sure... have fun

Inside that gaudy outer shell (to me - others may disagree) is a beautiful looking machine. I am in the process of rebuilding one HERE. Surprisingly, parts are still available, as Barb and Doug at Orphan Espresso ordered a boat load for me.
