thanks wreckfish and redbone.
So far in the cup I have noticed the flavor "opening up" compared to my Vetrano 2B. Most noticeable was a Guat that I pulled in the AM on the Vetrano, then that evening pulled on the L1. The taste from the L1 was more layered, distinct and the cup felt more rounded. I noticed a couple floral/fruit notes that were not detectable, to me at least, in the Vetrano shot. This was one of my own in house roasts and was about a medium level, 2:15 min 16F development after 1st crack began. I am still getting the feel for tuning the grind and dose on the L1, but really enjoying the early results. Lovin' the machine and my trip into the lever world.

Greetings from the southern California desert!
I purchased this unknown model of a La Pavoni at a tag sale for $8. Spent $80 at Thomas E Cara in San Francisco to get it up and running. It is my daily espresso maker and I'm curious about becoming a collector and re-builder of lever-type machines.
Anyone know what model this is? Or what year it was manufactured?
Thanks, Jeffery.
Mod Note: I Placed the photos inline for you, please see drgary's post below for how to do this on future posts.
