New militant on the advancement of LMWDP.
I bought a Ponte Vecchio Lusso 2 group machine off of CraigsList a few months ago, and it looks as if this is a keeper. It resides at my workplace, in a high tech engineering testing laboratory, on a counter top next to a sink. Compared to the rest of the equipment in there, the stainless facings fit in nicely, you wouldn't even give it a second glance in a panorama.
We are using a Lido 2 hand grinder to keep the noise and volume of output at a minimum. It averages 4-6 shots a day, sometimes simultaneously. I reduced the factory pressure setting to 1.1 bar, once warmed, it produces the expected nectar. Its completely different than my home HX machine, as the yield is 20-30ml per shot and slower. I don't compare/contract with criticism, I enjoy both. I use filtered water, leave it on all day, and when the mood hits me, I pull a shot straight away, no fussing with temperature, its setup for a bulls eye every time.

Hi, folks-
My latest addition prompted me to register for world domination. I started off with a Pavoni 20 yrs. ago but never liked it very much. My Cimbali M20L got me hooked 3 yrs ago and since then I've been collecting these beautiful lever machines. I especially like the French levers like Conti, Reneka and the like. I have not started a restauration yet but hopefully there will be some restauration threads in the future.
My latest acquisition is a beautiful Zenith Express Magic which will arrive shortly...
Let me take the opportunity and thank everyone for great reading and lots of insight...
Best regards from Munich

Hi Folks,
my road to the lever-world took some time. It started with the mocca pot and pre grounded coffee from the supermarket. I was happy for a long time until I found a small coffee bar that roasted their own coffee. There I had a lot of good conversations that gave me a deeper insight to the world of coffee. So two years ago I started to upgrade but my budget was very limited. So I started with a small hand grinder from Hario and fresh roasted coffee from a local roaster. I read a lot on the web, I tried an Saeco Aroma from eBay. But the machine didn't feel wright. It was to noisy and I didn't get good results (i guess my fault). So I gave it to a friend and went back to the mocca pot. And then six month ago I came across an la Pavoni Europiccola on eBay for 165€ direct purchase with a leaking group. So I did a quick research what a new set of gaskets would make and I bought it. The I upgraded to an Kitchen Aid Grinder but I never found the wright grind, so four weeks ago I upgraded again to an Eureka Mignon Grinder, and there it was the nice syrupy and thick shot I always wanted.
To show what in mean I took this small video.
and a picture of my coffee corner
Best regards from Germany
