LMWDP Rollcall - Page 81

Hello to everyone here in this lever section :-)
I'm quite a lever newbie as this is my first lever machine, but I've had several pump driven espresso machines before, thus I'm familiar with the taste of a good espresso ;-)
We use our Rancilio Classe 6 LE (one group) commercial lever machine at home and are very happy with it. The shots are delicious and we enjoy to produce coffee in such a traditional manner.
Steaming milk is very easy, too.
Wishing you all gorgeous shots,
Cheers,
Tanja

Welcome Tanja,

I am on the look out for a nice LE, and I welcome you to the global takeover :)

Please post some machine shots if you have the time.

Hi Cecil,
I see you're a "Rancilisto", too and have got such a nice S27!

Here's a picture of the Leva.

Have a nice day.

I would toss my Pepppina and my S27 over for one of those.

Nice Kit.

Long story short:

I stumbled into the art of Espresso because of my girlfriend's brother, Paolo, who owns a really nice La San Marco SM 64 in original state and perfectly working condition. It was then I got bitten by the Espresso-bug.

Took a few years, but then I got myself a Microcimbali and a Zassenhaus handgrinder. I was quite happy and after a slow learning curve I started to pull better shots than Paolo. Still, the commercial lever was something that had planted itself into my thinking - I hoped for a SM 64 (with the romboid housing), but never found one. And this year I found an Aurora Brugnetti Export, another machine with a small footprint and an HX, so it was a contender for the SM 64 plans. It was perfectly rebuilt by its previous owner and looks great, even if its design is more moderate than the one of the SM 64 (should take some shots the next time). I also got me an Ascaso i-mini grinder with conical blades and now I have Espresso- and Cappucino-heaven at home.

A Carimali commercial lever with attached brewing boiler still resides on my workbench waiting for my attention getting it back to work. I plan to "pimp" it with a auber PID and use it as my Espresso-machine for the office ...

So I think I qualify for a LMWDP number ...

Hi Klaus (I've also met Looseantz here) :-)
Would you please provide us with a photo of your beautiful machine?

You can find the machine on Kaffee-Netz, it's the one andyone rebuilt. Perhaps I find the time for some shots this weekend, we'll see ...
