Cancelled: Leverpalooza!

Postby PaniniGuy on Thu Jan 14, 2010 1:04 am

Sadly no interest beyond a couple of people.

Wish you guys on the left coast were closer - seems there's a bunch of lever fans out that way.

---------------

We're probably gonna blow off the regional competitions this year, and have nothing better to do. We figured, why not cram as many of you fanatics in one room as possible and have some fun. So we came up with this:

We're hoping to get at least a dozen of y'all for some fun and friendly competition (but no more than 20 or we'd have to find a bigger space). We'll supply espresso and some prizes.

Nice! Actually I had planned something similar to this on the West Coast at Barefoot Coffee roasters but hadn't gotten around to it. I was just discussing it with them the other day and had planned to set something up soon.

GIS for "lever espresso machine" apparently doesn't like Creminas. Blame Google :)

We've done TO from here in under 4:30. It's an easy drive, all highway. You'd be home by 10pm :)

Actually, the inspiration for the event was a guy who drove 2:20 from Maryland couple of weeks ago just to get a better handle on using his LP Professional.

There is a smaller "event" being planned in the SF Bay area, have a look at this thread: San Francisco Bay Area Lever fans (LMWDP) - Not LA, but a little closer

Move this event to NYC and I'm there.

(*Cough* any NYC cafes listening here? *cough*)

Great idea!
