That curved lever arm is pretty neat!

I am still waiting for my Salvatore Compact Lever (expecting it in June).Séb wrote:Just got today my Salvatore Compact Spring Lever. I need a tool to cut a hole in my SS sink so i can install the water line and press the ON switch

You could try a knockout hold punch or step drill. The punch gives a clean cut. Amazon has a wide variety of these to consider.

Yeah i know, i did use a step drill to make the initial hole for the knockout punch borrow from my friend and it works really well. I did my first test few minutes ago with decaf. Tomorrow start the real intensives testings

Is there anyone who owns a Zacconi Baby Big? How's it compared to a La Pavoni?

Here is my "real brass" 1999 La Pavoni Europiccola with its new Cafelat portafilter. Note the portafilter's brass handle, and also the brass group lever handle.
I originally made the brass group handle to prevent its flying up as boiler pressure fell, because this can get coffee grounds into the boiler under some conditions.
The Cafelat portafilter is made of stainless steel, and the attaching threaded rod is also stainless steel. Stainless steel is a poor heat conductor, so even when the portafilter with this brass handle is left attached for a long time, its temperature only rises to about 36-39 C.
I once made a brass steam valve knob, that that gets too hot. The one shown here has a brass core, and a wood hand hold. The boiler cap is brass with a wooden handle. I like the tall cylinder handle on the cap because I find it less likely to cross thread. (Boiler caps have M32x2 threads.)
