Beautiful . . .

Every time I see one of the old (c. 1950s-60s) commercial levers, I want one!

Ciao Andrea,

thanks for the information.

I do not have the machine yet, so I can't send a picture. I am thinking perhaps I should take it to professionals who deal with asbestos for removal before I start playing with the machine.

Did all of the America machines have this insulation?

every 15 years maximum these machines had a complete revision. it is possible that the technicians who carried out these revisions n' did not give this asbestos insulating and that yours n' in does not have. in theory it was also envisaged with gas and thus systematically of series this insulator... 3 open america and full asbestos. not just in the gaggia asbestos thus attention for everyone and vigilance on machines before 1975.
good continuation
