Thanks for the tip off- that machine was just a few KM's from me. I put in a bid at the last moment- but got shot down in flames. It sold for over 2700 AUD. Superb looking machine- I had a more modern Boema espresso machine in my cafe and it was a great workhorse- never had a single issue in 2 years of hard use. I had no idea an Australian company made such aesthetically pleasing lever machines back in the 1950's.

I should have bid higher.... I will never forgive myself.

any one want to guess what that machine would be worth fully restored?

Hey,
sorrentinacoffee It's a damn shame You never bid higher! I had a newer Boema coffee machine in my cafe aswell and it never missed a beat! If I were more grounded I would have bid on that machine, but at the moment my little Elektra machine will have to do. I also wonder what it's price would have been redone? I think that machine was someones bargain for the year!

Cheers

I'm a happy Girl:) I really am. I'm finally in the lever club!
Today my Elektra MCal was delivered to me in person and I'm in awe or love not sure which. OMG... I had no idea how truly beautiful these levers are to look at and work with. I was double blessed with the base and matchy matchy Elektra cups all via a one-of-a-kind, truly fabulous seller on Ebay (sure makes up for the disaster I was sold on Ebay back in May). I am looking for a pdf or photocopy of the manual but other than that, I am giddy.

To all those don't have a silver spoon in their mouth, it's okay. Rusty forks get the job done too.

That's a blue Peppina with another brand on it and a different shaped kettle and lever. Went for 100Euro's.
Seemed a rare bird, so i copied the photos, waited till the auction ended and posted them.
