Again... I am honored but... I owe a debt of thanks to all of you...
If it wasn't for people like you on this site I would not have even known what an Olympia Cremina was.
I would not have tried various techniques for grinding and tamping or roasting or pull techniques or better basket alternatives or ETC... and on and on...
I would have never tried hand grinders (great experience) or even what kind of hand grinders to get.
I would not have had the resources to build this machine.
and especially... I would not have had my extreme interest in espresso, Lever Espresso Machines and roasting enriched if it were not for people like you and this site itself.
Many Thanks to ALL... HB forever... HB is my get-away HOME!

The Enrico Maltoni book is 'thin', superficial and IMHO sadly a waste of money.

And it has no FAEMA 'Mercurio' !

The book from Maltoni is indeed not something what I would call a milestone. Some of the photographs are really amateur like. But the problem is that there are no alternatives. Or do you know some?

Hello everyone, I have just joined this forum.
As an enthusiast of lever machines I would like to share also my thoughts.
I have a La San Marco lever 3 groups. Its a monster! but makes the best espresso I have ever drank.
recently one of the internal gaskets wore down and it started to leak. (normal ware and tare).
I called a local espresso repairman here in Orlando (cocky guy) repaired the gasket but ended up snapping off the line from the glass tube to the tank..(i almost cried) the elbow fitting to the Stainless steal tank is welded on to the tank directly. you can figure out the rest. Threw him out of my restaurant and now I have my baby on the floor resting quietly. She will be going home with me in my garage for a total overhaul. I will post pics.
in the meantime does anyone know where I may obtain parts for this machine?
I have searched even the site directly in Italy but they have no info. I would love to have a schematic drawing.
Thank You all in advance.

Hi Crazy Cohiba, Since this is the gallery thread usually for pictures of machines, perhaps you should put this into it's own topic instead? Maybe HB or another moderator type will move it since you've already posted.

Hi all,
Here is a quite funny machine for the new year: this very particular Gaggia was embarked on the Venice-Paris train during the late 60's. Best, F
