I don't recall seeing this one (but forgive me if it's already been included) . . . a Bezzera two-group commercial lever model, c. 1950 (?)

I assume the two taps are to act as a mixer for water temperature in the bottom pic zin?

This picture is from Getty Images. I have more of them on my webpage. It is a Gaggia, that much is sure. But I can't tell you which machine it is (I guess it might be the model "Spagna"). Maybe our French expert "channo" knows more.

Hello Andrea,

I am not so sure about the names. In the original Gaggia advert in Enrico Maltoni's book on page 98/99 it says "T.I." what means "Tipo Internazionale" for this machine:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/21971447@N04/3022375000/ (1 group)
I think we are "d'accordo" about this machine.

In the same advert it says "T.S." for "Tipo Spagna" under a picture of that machine:
http://www.servimg.com/image_prev...p?i=476&u=10067713
Even on your two-group machine the plate says "T.S." (you sent me pictures a while ago). Therefore "Spagna" does not mean the machine was manufactured in Spain. It is just the name for the machine.

The Esportazione is the machine which is nicknamed "sardine can" for obvious reasons:
http://www.gaggia.it/img/museo/13_zoom.jpg

Therefore, what is the difference between the "Exportation" (Monaco) and "Esportation" (Milano) as you call them?

And one more question: what about this machine:

Hello Andrea,

by the way: the Internazionale from Milan is not made of aluminium. It is nickle-plated brass. I haven't seen the all-chrome Internazionale yet (only on pictures) but actually I really like this mix of materials on my machine. :D

Ciao
