Maybe referring to the counter it sits on? Btw, I love that deep purple paint job--original or new?

Ahh, I see. My wife and I have been in coffee for years but we finally stepped up our game.
The paint is not original. I took the machine down to the very last nut and bolt. Painted the frame and rebuilt everything. The paint is a 2 stage pearl automotive paint called sparkling merlot. It was a pain to spray and get right. I had to do it twice but the results are well worth it.
A few before shots...

Effort was well worth it--like I said, looks killer!

Great machine in a lovely little kitchen, and fantastic restoration job.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The only other merlot shots I have right now are of me painting the machine.

Yeah. I was commenting on the size of the machine compared to its environment. But a damned nice machine, nonetheless.
