about grinders: that is strange and new for me, they weren't exported to USA?

Best,
Davide
There weren't that many machines, both grinders and espresso machines, exported to the US in the 50's/60's to begin with. The main English speaking market back then was Australia, New Zealand and England. They had more and younger immigrants from Italy who brought the coffee/espresso culture with them.
And of those relatively few machines most of them got junked when the owner bought the latest model. Not only grinders but also commercial espresso machines from that time are quite rare in the US. Not so in Australia!

Here's my new Mini Gaggia. Going to consider PID'ing this one, it should be straightforward and easily reversible.

with open boiler, create "travel pid" and put the sonde in the boiler. It's easy
and no modification on the machine.
By cons, it's necessary to increase the value of the thermostat on the Mini. Alternatively, the shunt.
