LaPavoni 49MM double basket..whats your dose?

trying to figure out where to start with a pre millennium pavoni dose. dont want to waste a whole lot of coffee and i will be using a hand grinder (will be using it out of town on vacation).. so whats your dose. I will be using Black Cat.

I use a TWO Tablespoon measure and scoop up beans slightly more than level. This yields about 12-13 grams of beans which I grind. I find the 14 gram dose too big for the system.

I'm using 14.3g to accompany lossage with NO HEADROOM, with the final ground dose in basket being 14.1g:

With no headroom the dispersion screen does a final tamp of roughly 2mm. You need not to worry about disturbance to the puck because you have left no room for this to happen:

I am grinding with a Kyocera hand grinder, and using a bit coarser of a grind - between 160-170 turns to be exact of Detour Coffee's Punch Buggy espresso blend. Detour is out of Dundas and you can pick up his stuff at Darkhorse.
