La Cimbali Microcimbali pressure relief valve starting to spit

Postby sardo on Sat Oct 16, 2010 1:40 pm

My microcimbali is starting to show its age. The pressure relief valve is starting to spit. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Part number is 438-913-002.

Thanks

OrphanEspresso has one, but it is used and may be no better.

Here is an old thread about parts: Looking for spare parts for a CIMBALI Microcimbali espresso machine

Cheers,

If it is the presssure relief valve it must the the Liberty model (gauge and pstat) and it is not adjustable but can be dis assembled and both cleaned (polish the ball bearing seat) and adjsuted up pressure a bit (stretch the spring slightly). The way it comes apart is to grip the sides of the valve tower with a small pipe wrench or channel lock and the top screws off CCW....best to do it this way rather than removing the entire unit from the boiler which could possibly crack the top of the boiler if the bolt through neck is stuck.
