Is Thermal Fuse for 70's La Pavoni necessary?

Postby vintagelever on Fri Nov 12, 2010 10:24 pm

I have an older (70's model La Pavonia that uses a thermal fuse that is installed in the circuit in a cavity in the middle of the heating element. This fuse has blown and I can't find a replacement. The machine will function without it...is it really necssary as the earliest La Pavonia had no fuse at all. Any thoughts.
Thanks, Bob

The elements can be hard to replace, so I would rather protect the element with a fuse than not. The fuse has been available at orphanespresso in the past, though it doesn't show up on their website now. I would email them. I just had the same problem with my Eurobar.

Cheers,
Colin

Update: The part is back on the website
