Dan and I have been toying with the idea of doing a review of a commercial lever...Would there be interest in that for the board? We are trying to prioritize our projects for next year.

My vote is for a project about commercial lever machines. I have a two-group Futurmat Palanca in the garage that I've never used. Bought it a couple years ago with the intention of starting up a mobile espresso business. It's too large for the house so I think I'll sell it and look for a smaller machine that'll fit in my wet bar. The machines sold on Ebay tonight really had my interest; I bid on the two Gaggias but my pockets weren't deep enough.

You need to relabel your pics if you want us to guess (I got the two with the same group right, the odd one wrong)

How about that Pavoni Pub 1el lever -- it could squeeze into a regular kitchen and budget, and comes in a pourover with refill pump configuation. Of course, you'd need to find someone who actually sells it.

Thanks...I threw the post together fast while I had the time. I was interested in the Faema, but the prices shot through the roof at the last second....some Europeans were wanting the whole lot.

I'll talk to you before we start the large lever project..we have a couple in mind.

please excuse my poor english, the machine on the top is a Conti from Monaco/ Monte Carlo, I own the same model with gas heating, the model sold on Ebay seemed to have an aftermarket step up transformer attached at the left side to transform 110 to 220 volts, that this machine requires...The other machines are Gaggias, I believe from the sixties, (the design of the lever group Gaggias changed in the early seventies) with the standard Gaggia lever group, there was no Faema on the auctions...Faema lever groups look very different from the Gaggias...I was interested to buy the Conti to convert my own machine to electrical heating, but the transport to Europe was to expensive in my opinion. I use an old Faema President lever group model at home together with an Quickmill grinder from the same period. As a proud vintage lever machine owner, I would like to be a member of your LMWDP club...

I will try to make some photos of the President and the Quickmill grinder...I still use an older camera, but I will get a digital camera soon. I hope that I can put those photos in the forum. I would like to hear more about commercial levers. Any further thoughts of reviewing one? How about the Nuova Simonelli Mac Elli. If I understand the information on their website, it is an HX. I want my commercial or high end espresso machine to be very temperature stable and to be able to dial in the group temperature, but I also would rather have a lever than a pump. I wonder if any of the commercial levers offer that combination.
