Hate to say it, but if lever machines are too finicky for my Cunhill, I'll probably just stay with what I have or look for another pump.

I have a Gaggia Factory lever (rebranded La Pavoni) paired to a Cunill Brasil grinder. The Cunill grinder does an excellent job with both pump and lever machines.

P.S. I used to own a Zassenhaus grinder back in 2002, but now is in the hands of my ex-wife. That was my first "serious" grinder, and I still miss it.

Jeff,
I think everyone was overlooking the post where you stated that you had your grinder already-

I am with Javier- Your Cunhill should take care of what ever lever you choose.......

Yes Mogogear that is exactly what happened with me. I just blanked and didn't notice about the Cunill. It is quite capable.
I'll bet JeffNYC can fairly easily find a Pavoni Europiccola in his price range (most likely under on ebay). Possibly a PV Export. Depending how finicky he is about the color of his machine either of these two would be possible. He just needs to decide on spring or manual.
Sorry if I helped add to the generalized confusion on this thread, Gents.

Um, craigslist, Denver, PostingID: 304126794

Red Astoria lever for $300.

I don't know the owner, though I am wistful that there was even the remote reason I could have need of it - but none exist, so. . .

Good luck!
