Gaggia duo and faema velox - two wall-mounted machines of the same period

just received today my gaggia duo a small very massive built and very heavy wall-mounted piston machine.
it is a hydromatic piston machine. this little machine has the same group like a gaggia spring lever machine from
the 50s, but it s chopped on top and modified for a hydromatic system.

it has no damage and is complete. the red is in nature kind of bordeaux red not like on the photo, this flash red is caused by the camera flash. the real red makes it even looking more vintage 60s style.

together with my faema velox wall-mounted machine i have now a nice pair of two wall-mounted piston systems from the two concurrents and from the same period.
they really fit nicely together and i will never split them anymore.

bye gerry

Hi Gerry,
OOOoohh!
Thank gosh that someone who loves it found it! Too many go to scrap or non-caffeine imbibers!
Here is a new model of wall mount from ebay.#300053394342

This unit uses a standard bottle of mineral water as the reservoir tank, the blue objest in the background

Thanks for keeping all those machines from the scrapyard
Sincerely
Richard

Gerry, you have an amazing collection of machines!

I asked this question over in the "LMWDP Rollcall" topic, but it probably got lost- which one of your machines do you usually use? Why?

Thanks for the photos!

How does the Faema Velox work? Is the water flash heated in that narrow case?
Do you have other pictures you can post?
