From hand grinder to basket made neat & easy

Postby IMAWriter on Tue Oct 14, 2008 10:33 pm

I recently purchased this little $7.50 gizmo from Orphan Espresso. It works as advertised, in fact better than. Hardly a grain spilled, and transfer from the PeDe drawer to my Cremina basket took less than 15 seconds.
No more cups needed. Makes me want to use my PeDe more. Shipping was cheap, cia USPS, like $2 or so.

Cool idea, I've been wondering about this issue, and pondering some kind of funnel mod for my hand grinder drawer.

Just a +1 on this recommendation. When I ordered my hand grinder from Orphan Espresso, I talked to Doug on the phone and he sold me on taking one of these too (I think it was just before they started specifically recommending it on the site as a nice pairing with hand grinder users). Works like a charm, and keeps everything really clean and tidy. Definitely bridges the gap between square grinder drawers and round PFs, moka pots, etc.

Thanks Doug!

It is similar to a Bakers' dough cutter and scraper. So it is now in one piece.

Cool beans! Definitely beats my rolled up paper funnel. Great find!

Thanks
