You can start on mine anytime you like! I'll wait 4 years.

Can we see more pictures of the back of the machine?

l'll get some back shots up later today all being well.
The projects been going on for 4 or 5 years ,
and things happen on the machine as time permits,
All machines are a little different, in one way or another,
two are with a third tap for inline water, and 2 fill from under the tray,
personally, l like the extra tap on the front, gives it a bit of balance,
and the ease of filling, without the tray,
lm about to make a trial model waved top,
thats been kicking around in my head, to go around the cups
we have tried a few different styles ,
Ill get some more pics sorted

I am a bit late to this thread: but WOW! Gary- this is something else as far as DIY espresso goes...

I can't believe this didn't generate more interest on HB! This is really amazing work. I have a gaggia with a group of the same era- and there is some complex machinery in that group. Amazing to build your own from the ground up. The machine is beautiful- would love to see images of the other 3. How is the project progressing? How many machines completed? Did you test the machine alongside the original Gaggia?

Also the lever arms: did you make the bakelite parts and everything? Or did you sure gaggia parts?

The case looks familiar: is yours made out of cast alloy?

Finally: how much for one of these? I realise it was just a project- but having mastered the group fabrication it would be a shame to not make more of those lovely groups...
