Faema Lambro

Postby arthouse on Sun Apr 17, 2011 2:17 pm

I have very recently acquired a faema lambro in surprisingly good condition. I am fascinated by this beautiful piece of engineering but dont feel confident to do a strip down, clean, and rebuild. Does a manual exist, or is it suck it and see, and can I get replacement seals and gaskets? It does seem a shame not to see it restored.

You should be able to easily find O-rings. You may have to have something like the boiler basket custom made, but it is very doable. Whenever I am rebuilding a machine that is unfamiliar to me I take several pictures from different angles prior to taking each new piece apart and throughout disassembly in an effort to make reassembly as easy as possible.

Orphan espresso rebuilt a Faema Lambro several months ago. I am sure Doug and Barb have the o-ring / gasket size on record and can provide you with help / pieces to your Faema Lambro puzzle. They always prove to be very willing to help with machine projects.

There are a number of espresso machine collectors/restorers/repairers in France...some even HB members who may see your post. All parts for these machines are available.

hello
for a spare/ring in france is not a problem. but....you dont have same service like orphanespresso (explication/video/precision dating/ adjustment).
si vous choisissez l'option française rendez vous sur l'un de nos deux forums français.
