I have a severe leak from my steam wand (Europiccola , new model bought 2002).
I have a replacement set of gaskets, and reading the Europiccola gasket death it suggested the way to get to the steam wand gasket is to knock out the pin in the knob using an awl.

The shaft itself screws out ccw just like you were opening the valve. You might have to tug on it once it is completely turned out.
I have tried to do this using a hammer and nail but failed, could anyone provide more help. The 'pin' in my case is more like a clip sprung tightly against the hole...should i be trying to push a nail against a side of the clip, or find something exactly the same width as the clip, or is there a way of catching the clip in some way?
Thanks
Sean
