Europiccola drip tray and steam wand query

Postby shreds on Sun Jul 31, 2011 7:17 am

Hi,

OK so after 6 months of not noticing the crud building up, and welding underneath the drip tray i now need to get it off (post millenium chrome base). Detergent, bicarb of soda and boiling water crossed with hard work has limited results. Anyone got a solution to get rid of this?

ALso is there an easy way to detach the steam wand? I want to remove the wand tip but applying torque to the end of the wand strikes me as asking for trouble. Again any advice on this welcomed.

Cheers

The steam wand tip should just unscrew. If you have trouble, try turning the machine on and heating it up a bit.

On the crud build up, can you post a photo of where it is? You might try something like CLR or Lime away or something.
