Espressoparts bottomless portafilter fits the Gaggia Factory!

Postby jsy on Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:31 pm

There seems to be some confusion about whether the naked portafilter Espressoparts sells for the "La Pavoni Home Millenium" (http://www.espressoparts.com/product/F_NKDPF/) fits the Gaggia factory. When I called them, they suggested it probably wouldn't, but I took a gamble and ordered one anyway, and I'm pleased to report that it fits perfectly. I pulled a beautiful shot tonight with some sidamo and wished I could have taken a picture, but I would have needed 3 hands what with holding the lever and portafilter. I'll try to get a picture up next time I've got company in the kitchen.

I saw that too,
Once we confirmed that the Millennium and the Factory were the same I almost ordered one.
I do not begrudge any one making money but if the PF is $64 and the make my PF bottomless is $25 = about $90 plus shipping. The $112.21 for the F_NK0PF or the $132.79 F_NKDPF + shipping seemed a little higher than necessary to me last week......but the 112 is feeling better this week.

Looking forward to hearing about how yours works out so maybe next week I will order one for myself.

Congrats

Edit: Found part of the price difference, gotta read down far enough.
