Ok, here's the deal. I'm brand new to everything here, heck coffee in general. Anywho, a non-working Elektra SX managed to find its way into my possession and I'd like to get her restored to her former glory. Now from some basic troubleshooting with a friend a little more familiar with espresso machines and whatnot, we have diagnosed the pressurestat to most certainly be faulty. I will be replacing it very shortly, however the rest of the machine is in dire need of some TLC and I really have no idea where to start. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Yep, pre 2005. Manufactured in 1994 I do believe, thanks for the exploded diagram as well, that should come in handy.
