Ebay Score! Seemingly unused Zerowatt/Arrarex Little

Postby GVDub on Fri Apr 10, 2009 4:45 pm

Saw this on the place that feEds my Bad, nAstY habits and sent a message asking if he'd ship to the U.S. He does. I won the auction. It's still got the original box, manual, knockbox, scoop, etc. From these photos, it looks as it it might even be unused (or as close to it as is imaginable). It's even the same orange as Clarabelle. They're cousins. I'm assuming that I'll need to replace seals and gaskets, but from what little I've been able to dig up, it should take the same ones as my Caravel.

As the song goes, "The waiting is the hardest part."

Edit: Seller took down the slideshow, so this is the only photo left.

Which is a shame, because you can't see the picture of the original box and the manual, scoop, and other accessories that look as if they've never been used. Photos will come after I receive it.

P.S. You guys are a bad influence.

Wow. I'm not easily surprised, but that does not look like its had a lot of shots pulled through it. Personally I prefer the curves of the original Caravel, but I'm sure it would grow on me. It has the same PF - I wonder if the group holds more water? That would be a bonus. Anyway, you can't go wrong with that purchase if its anything like the original. We'll look forward to hearing about it!

I found other shots of a Arrarex Little online that showed the hinged cupwarmer/lid lifted, and it looks to be maybe a 1.5L kettle or roughly double the interior volume of the Caravel. The drip tray is much larger, to boot. One of the two is going to end up living at work, I'm just not sure which one yet.

I asked the seller if he'd ship to the US and he never answered, apparently he does. Good work!

According to the email notification I just received from Poste Italiane, this will be waiting for me when I get home. Which means that I have to spend the rest of the day in growing anticipation, since this is most emphatically not one of those days when I can take off a little early, as we're close on a printing deadline and there is a pile of last-minute page proofs to go through.

Expect photos to be posted later tonight.
