EBay Olympia Cremina record? - Page 21

It seems that the higher prices are still here:

$1,275.00 S/N 7617627 22 bids Sold on Feb 07, 201018:53:41 PST
$730.00 S/N 7921328 18 bids Feb 14, 201010:05:57 PST No Portafilter!

There is one in Florida on craigslist, the guy wants $1499 for it. The ad has been up since 4 Feb though, and is still up so I don't know if it sold yet or not. It lists a pressure gauge, but I emailed him and asked, and he was mistaken, it doesn't. He probably just copied and pasted from the specs on another site.

I don't even know what to say other than to kick my own ass for not picking these up on fleabay back in 2006 when I first noticed them. At this rate, I'm gonna need to sell 2 Mcals in order to finance a Cremina purchase :!:

To all those don't have a silver spoon in their mouth, it's okay. Rusty forks get the job done too.

The famous Badger beer can, worth a cool 7K, rusty:

Does anyone seriously think the beer in that can was better than the beer in any other can? Keep the MCal...

Another high (in my opinion) price for a Cremina, $1090

OK, to be fair, Creminas don't come on the market all that often down here in Oz, but still, it is fairly old 1977, needs new seals and possibly other servicing, has no double filter, and still has the asbestos insulation around the boiler (I asked the vendor).

Wow and the Cremina-mania continues to spread. So glad I got mine at a reasonable (but still high) price. I guess the prices people are willing to pay will eventually settle out at a price somewhere below the price of new one. However I do not regret spending what I did on my machine, it truly is worth every penny and will be for years to come.
