Hi All!
The PDF is available - just drop us an email (can I post my email address here? Don't want to get on anyone's *S* list again!) - it's a big file & I didn't want to choke anyone's email account with it if they didn't want it. Should have made that clear - sorry! We are also working on having it available on the web on our web site (when I figure out how to get that built - winter project!).
We intend to have the kits, seals, small lot custom work for true orphan machines, and sundries, as well as instructions as we 'build' them, and a vitual 'junk yard' for machines - you know, those that are just not up to restoration, but plenty of good useables still in them? We don't have a suitable junk yard dog...but we do have a cat that looks pretty surly most of the time...
All the kits have been sent with the upgraded materials. We are pretty close to being able to offer it with Viton - waiting for the dies to arrive (can't cut it with a punch!). We're working on a digital thermometer insert for La Peppina too. Never too busy for new ideas...
You know, people don't wax poetic enough about the La Peppina, but, Doug actually woke up this morning thinking about how elegantly simple it is. No relays, no pressure valves, true form following function. So few moving parts - almost makes us want to remanufacture one that didn't look quite so much like a fondue pot. Maybe something a little bit more streamlined, a bit more, or less...something! But, there's a lot to be said for the retro look too! The hammered paint on the base is wonderful, and it's a bit hard to do that well. Have you seen the REALLY old ones? With the ceramic kettle instead of the enameled ones?
