Did small pump espresso machines really kill the home lever market? - Page 2

I rebuilt one of these for my friend. I it was the "Super Quick" quickmill monza (non-auto) variety. Same funky steam wand with a volume knob-like thing to control pump speed, glass water reservoir ....Huge vibe pump, maybe a touch less noisy than the rotary. I found the build quality to be impressive and really simple ready to brew in 2 minutes.

Lever or pump, this extreme analog stuff is really fun.....I had actually gotten the routine down pretty tight until everything went more or less wrong. There should be some ultimate barista competition to present top baristas with one of these and give them 5 minutes to figure out how to make a drinkable cappa....it would be fun to watch for sure.

Now you're talking! I'd love to see something like this.

Hi Doug and Barb,

It seems easier to drag my two group Astoria lever around than to operate that little green monster. Thanks for the fun video. Made Sayoko and I giggle.
