Comparison of Ponte Vecchio one and two group

Postby yooncs on Tue Dec 23, 2008 12:50 pm

Hi all,

While having PIDed Silvia, I am considering Ponte Vecchio two group. Unlike the one group version, I've noticed that the two group version's group heads are not directly bolted to the machine, but bolted to a plate then to the machine? I cannot find clear picture of it facing front.

Could anyone having two group version post pictures in various angles and comment on how it looks (compare to one group)?

Thanks,
Chong

Hello Chong.

I have the Ponte Vecchio Lusso, one group. The group is bolted to a plate, and connected by tubes to the boiler. I think that the two group is similar.

Others with the Ponte Vecchio Export will pipe in to explain how its group is connected to the boiler. No tube are involved, I believe, but a large mass provides a good heat sink.
