Commercial lever manufacturers?

Postby realdoctor on Tue Feb 26, 2008 2:33 pm

I am new to this group, so please forgive this posting if it is redundant.

Any chance we can pull together a list of manufacturers currently making commercial lever machines and some of the model characteristics? This might be a useful resource.

Offhand, I can think of three: Astoria, Quality Espresso (Gaggia Espanola), and Nuova Simonelli. However, I am sure there must be others.

There is only one machine that I would bother to upgrade to from what I currently have:

The Idrocompresso

When a single group version of this machine comes out, I will probably get it.

ah, too bad. maybe you and I could just go in on a two-group and split it down the middle?

There is also Cimbali, and I think Bezzera.

Anyone have any idea of the current price of the Idrocompresso? (PM if uncomfortable posting, or you've got a deal for me. )
