Okay, okay Rob. Interpolate then! Here's how to do it. Go coarser until you've got good crema without the shot running so fast it's an underextraction.

HAha, Gary, I was kidding. Your first description worked just fine...as does the new one. I don't own a Caravel as yet, though I've used one. Common sense would tell me a coarser grind would go easier on the little guy, and better not to choke or force the lever. That's always been my grinder to lever maxim.
