I'd like to take a minute and thank Doug and the rest of the folks at Orphan Espresso for the exceptional service and information at their site for rebuilding vintage lever machines (like my Cappuccino Amore).

The restoration went well because I was fortunate to start with a complete and fully functioning machine. The seals went on no problem and the metals polished up nicely. I'll admit I'm surprised how much different it looks.

Hope to pull some shots in the next few days. Now for you viewing pleasure....

Beautiful Tim! I have 2 of these waiting to restore, but only 1 portafilter. I'm curious to see how user-friendly it is, and how the shots turn out. I have a few other projects dangling before I can work on my Amore, but hopefully I'll get around to it this winter.
