It still seals really good, but there are some cracks in the gasket and it will not last for long. I'm also missing the tamping/shower screen, any idea for a good replacement? A phin filter could probably work if I get the right size.

Thanks! I'll look into that option. Those should be easily available.

FWIW, I'm in too!

I've just been waiting for mine to go out :/ (and I'm using it 2-3x per day right now!).

Any updates? I really would need a new gasket as the one I have now leaks so much that I can't use the Baby. Will wait for the group buy if the option becomes reality, otherwise I'll look into other options. And thanks for the tip about the Rancilio Silvia shower screen, it was a perfect fit.

Another vote of interest here. I got a replacement gasket from Francesco around eight months ago, and although it's worked decently for the most part, the spillover has been noticeably bad lately, to the point that the frustration isn't worth the effort of pulling the shot.

I got the quote in the middle of a busy time at work, and it fell by the wayside. I will pull it up and post the details. Then we can consider doing it....or getting another quote.

Francesco has the seal kit for the Baby, 5 euro - http://www.francescoceccarelli.eu/Faidate/diy-faema.htm It does require a bit of modding but he indicates it works well, see his repair tips.

I've always been happy with anything I got from him.

Did you mod it or try his tip on using an O-ring to increase the seal tension, as per his repair guide?
