Loving my new setup! Thanks for the pointers Redbone. Still need to get the thermostat dialed in, but I'm making great shots!

That is a very capable setup for sailing the seven seas of espresso

Good to see she is in good hands "Sailorchadf". Still like that particular yellow.

My VAM will remain on permanent rotation. Excellent results in the cup and it's one of my favourite machines to operate, clean and maintain.

Few machines out there that have cleaner and simpler water paths.
Like the fact that the water in boiler never makes contact with the heating element.
Enjoy.
Between order and chaos there is espresso.
Semper discens.

Indeed! I have an espresso forge too, but the Caravel is a bit more stable in a moving galley. It may sail the seven seas one day. I love your signature by the way.

Thanks Redbone. I want to dial in the thermostat now. I have taken it apart, and I get the minor adjustment by the knob on the back, but I can't figure out the major adjustment you spoke of. Can you elaborate?

There is a screw at spine located inside at bottom that can be adjusted.

I got it. The outer ring is micro and the inner ring is macro. That is some fine engineering right there

My light bulb is now out. Is there a "modern" replacement that can plug and play in there?

Thanks.
