Thanks for your replies. The machine seems to be designed to do really small doses for single shots. The pdf at Francesco Ceccarelli's form 1965 claims it makes 20 shots from 100g of coffee, i.e. 5g per shot (!) and the basket looks the part too.
The inside measurements of the portafilter go as follows :
Max width : 53,5mm
Vertical : 13,5mm
Tapering to 22mm depth (@ 10mm diameter)
The filter basket is 59mm max at the rim.
I get 35mm diameter at 19mm depth, but it's quite solid brass, so I might be able get it turned into isomac dimensions at worst (a friend has a metal lathe). Going bottomless would of course solve all problems, but I'm reluctant to violate an irreplacable part...
