Are the baskets interchangeable between La Pavoni and Faemina

Postby Junior on Tue Jan 10, 2012 8:24 pm

I'd like to try a single basket in my Faemina, but in the 51mm size, I only see La Pavoni (post-Millenium) baskets out there. Has anyone tried swapping those baskets in their machines and care to share their findings?

Pavoni basket has curved rim and Faemina flat rim in most models...a curved rim can be flattened and trimmed....the flattening causes the top of basket to be too tight...the sides can be planed. So the answer is yes and no.

Thanks for the response. Any other sources for Faemina single baskets out there?

My Faemina (60's model, black sides) has the rolled rim baskets in both single and double.I also bought a flat rim double from OE, and that also fits my portafilter.I can't see myself ever using the single, so if you're really keen and want to pay shipping i could probably part with it.

Thanks for the generous offer. I'll send you a PM to hopefully work out the logistics.
