Ok, here's my next project (more like one of the ongoing three or four).
What do you think? I have began the polish on the brass dome, group and drip tray cover. I think they will all turn out nicely. That group is very thick and all brass.
I found a local copper plater. I think I will polish off the plating on the base and the boiler and have them replated.
I have all the other parts. Of course, I'll find out if that is really true when I put it back together. I received it already disassembled.

OOPS, it's a 1983, not a 1981. I must have missed that because I graduated High School in 81.
Interesting that this was labeled Faema and Italia. Was this before Elektra was known in the US?
No pitting in that group, huh?
Really enjoying polishing up this group. I'm loving brass more and more.
It's tempting to try to keep the copper on the boiler, but I can't get those water marks out at all.
Think I'll leave the eagle as is rather than polishing it. Not sure.

Very sweet little project. My machine is identical and almost as ratty. When it was shipped from Canada it got damaged, the top sight glass port is dented into the boiler a wee bit but it still seals. I'd like to get it realigned somehow then replate the whole machine. I keep thinking that I'd like to get a bigger lever for the house but that machine just keeps proving itself over and over, regardless of the differing flavor profiles between it and the big levers. Keeps things fresh and interesting.
Yours is a keeper. Love that Italia badge.

I've been using the Emina almost every day for a couple of months now...lovely machine. I think it would have to be at least a Lady Duchessa to lure me away.

Larry,
No doubt. No doubt. I don't blame you one bit.
