Why do some people get super expensive espresso machines to use only the cheapest coffee? - Page 3

I think you have to decide what cheap and good means first. Both are subjective. A good example would be Red Bird Espresso. It is very good and cheap compared to most online roasters. At less that $10 a pound roasted and delivered it is a bargain. While the majority of roasters package the 12 oz = a pound at the pound price , Red Bird becomes an even better value. It's all what you like and how much you are willing to spend.

Although the cost of green beans is rising steadily it is still a way to enjoy the finest single origin coffees in the world at $5 to $8 a pound and it doesn't get any fresher. In many cases they will be organic.
