Value Village Find: LaCimbali Espresso Cups

Postby LaCrema on Mon Feb 28, 2011 12:42 am

I went to Value Village today, found these for $1.69 per set! Grabbed them both, not a bad score by any means! :D

Anyone else come across any deals like this from a thrift store?!

Nice find... every time I go to VV I'm convinced i'm going to strike gold with a cremina or even a europiccola for $10 but no such luck. The best i've done so far is 4 acf mocha cappuccino cups & saucers for $1 a set. Oh and a hand grinder for $5 that turned out to be worth exactly $5.

Speaking of hand grinders, are there any decent ones for an espresso grind at an affordable price? Right now I'm living at my girlfriend's house while I'm doing construction at my place, I was thinking about moving my second espresso machine (Rancilio Silvia) over to my house so I can enjoy espresso while working on my projects. Any good suggestions?

I'm using a Hario Skerton with my Silvia. I'm quite pleased with the results. I've just been doing this for a week, and it's just been with the same beans. Took a while to get the grind right, and once I start back with my own roasts, I'm forseeing issues. There are a few threads about this grinder and others on this site.
