Bernie,

My first boss always said, "When you leave the front door unlocked, all sorts of strange people come in".

Remind her that the Chevron where I-10 and I-25 meet up has a 'cappuccino' machine that they only charge $1.75 for. The ambiance ain't quite the same, and there is no milk, no espresso, and no human interaction involved, but that's how they keep the prices down.

Bernie,

The next time someone complains about the price ask them if they would accept the drink for half price. The only condition for this offer is that they have to go behind the counter and make the drink without any help from the staff.

Good idea for a drive-around cafe business.
Open it next to a quality cafe, sell drinks for half the price in DIY manner. Actually, give them'lamers only three trials: first for half the price, next equal price, third double the price.
I bet it would move around fast
