I would like to voice my thanks to the sponsors, as well as to Dan for organizing and programming the contest codes.

Idk what # I am, but I am the winner of the Cafelat Holiday Gift!!! That was the prize since the very beginning I wanted to win. I think I put it in my contest entries at least ten times. I still cant believe I actually won it. . . Im so thrilled!!!! A couple of the items were on my Christmas list... and Now I get them all for free! AWESOME!

(Though Im not sure how to claim my prize... Ive emailed Dan...)

So thank you everyone who makes this Contest possible... It was a lot of fun staying up late/waking up early just to post an entry. I look forward to the next one!!!

I would like to echo this thank you as well!

I only order from businesses that support this site or CG and I ALWAYS put

"thank you for supporting the CG and HB forums" in the comment block of my order.

A big thank you to the sponsors, in particular Baratza -- and the others as well ...and to Dan.

Unfortunately we I often wait too long to thanks people for what they've done, and then sometimes when the thanks seems like its for something done for me in particular.

But rest assured we recognize what the sponsors and Dan have done for the benefit of all of us. By building this site and making it available you've increased out enjoyment throughout the year.

Thanks

A big thanks to all sponsors, because of NW Espresso Parts' generosity there's now a Gift of a MyPressi, some demis and even a bag of their espresso on the way, all because I cut and pasted text every once in a while.

Dan, you really are doing something special for our community. Thank you!

I have to say I've really enjoyed being compelled to spend some time looking around the sponsors' sites. My wallet is a bit lighter than when this contest started, but then again I've done pretty well with the prizes too! Thanks so much.

Hello and thank you to all the folks who have made this year a winner for us all in the Wish List. I think most of us cannot even conceive of the work that has gone into making it the gift it is!
Merry Christmas and thank you for making it a better one for us all!

I won several Holiday Surprise coupons and I will be using them all. In fact, I have just ordered a Silvia V3 and I'm trying to decide on the grinder. (Trying to reach my decision by reading through the Grinder forum and my head is spinning! Maybe a Baratza Vario? I have to use the Holiday Surprise coupon by tomorrow.) Thank you, vendors, for your donations, and I will be patronizing your businesses. Happy Holidays!

The 2009 HB Wish List Giveaway ends in less than an hour. I hope that you've enjoyed the contest. In closing, I offer the classic thank you post from one of the 2007 winners:

Shotsurfer wrote:A Visit From HB and the Site Sponsors

'Twas a month before the Holidays, when all across the land,
Home Baristas all gathered, with their open hands;
Their cups were placed by their machines with care,
In hopes that HB and the SPONSORS soon would be there;
The baristas were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of grinders danced in their heads;
And I at my desk, watching my husband nap,
had just settled down for a nice cuppa cap.

When out on the Web there arose such a clatter
I sprang to the HB website to see what was the matter.
Away to the HB window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the thread, I could reply in a dash.

The moon on my screen set the Wish List aglow,
Like the luster of crema, generosity was bestowed,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Surprises, Delights, and Gifts! Oh my dear!

With HB's trusty leader, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Dan, AKA St. Nick,
More rapid than eagles the Sponsors they came,
And he laid out the rules, and wrote them by name:

"Now, 1st-Line! now, Chris's! now, Counter Culture, join in the mission!
On, Ecco Caffe! on Espresso Parts! on, Great Infusions, what a vision,
From Intelligentsia, Klatch Roasting, and Olympia Coffee, windfalls!
Now Paradise, PT's Coffee, and Vaneli's, giving away all!

And then in a twinkling, the games did begin!
The baristas were eager, all hoping to win!
As I drew in my hand, and put the final click on my mouse,
PT's Coffee came through with a Gift for my house!

The Maestro -- how it twinkled! The coffee how merry!
My cheeks were like roses, my full heart like a cherry!
To the team at PT's Coffee, It was great to meet ya!
Thank You! Thank You! For a year of the luscious Bella Vita!

When the coffee arrived, I went straight to my work,
Pulled down on the lever with nary a jerk;
The crema it poured the thickness of honey,
I will still savor this coffee, when I have to pay money!

Upon the first sip, I tasted chocolates and fruit,
A very nice texture and Crema to boot!
Baristas enjoy a coffee of this ilk;
It is definitely a classic, and pairs nicely with milk.

The baristas are all cheering and giving a whistle,
Replies are still flying like virtual missiles,
But I heard them exclaim, as the end is in sight,
"HAPPY HOLIDAYS HB AND SITE SPONSORS, THANKS FOR THE SURPRISES, GIFTS, AND DELIGHTS!"
