Introduced at SCAA USBC last week

I really don't understand this product... why put the french press process into the hands of customers? It doesn't make sense... why does the customer have to think about the process? Why not just have the barista make the french press and then pour it into the cup to go? Are we really trying to save 4 minutes?
Not to mention... look at the amount of unnecessary plastic flanking that single use cup! What a waste! Far from being smart... this cup is total nonsense!
Perhaps I'm missing the "genius" of this product?

It's a little odd to have disposable French Presses when everyone is trying to go green; but otherwise it returns to the old style cafe brewing, where people got a French Press, a timer, and a cup. Wonder what the environmental trade off is between all the extra trash versus cleaning FPs and cups to NSF standards?
