This is a great book for the espresso world and is available here: http://www.professionalbaristashandbook.com/ . I purchased mine a couple of years ago and was always bothered by the fact that the book would not lie flat for easy reading.

The solution - a trip to Fedex-Kinko's and $4 and the pages were spiral bound.

Nice one.

For those not familiar with this book, there's an excerpt on this Home-Barista site here:

Eric,

Do you mean that for $4 Kinko's will cut off the spine, drill the holes and install a spiral binding? That would be fantastic for cookbooks too.

The spiral bind machines punch holes, used to have one at a company I worked with. Then they open the spiral binding so that you can insert the pages and release the lever to close it up.

Cutting the spine is another matter, it would be awesome if Kinko's did that too.

Absolutely. I also just had the SCAA Water Quality Handbook done and they managed to charge me $4.75 for that but, in any event, it was all well worth it.

Great book btw. His other book, "everything but espresso" is also great. I suggest both for any coffeegeek.
