I just came across this PBS documentary on the history of coffee. It was posted to YouTube in 2012 but I think it's from 2007. It's interesting and I believe is mostly aligned to Mark Pendergrast's Uncommon Grounds. (He appears numerous times in the video.)
The Italian section features Caffè Florian, where I took my avatar picture.

2005 based on the date on the DVD version I picked up from Amazon Canada. 174 minutes total length.

Another video I found, although I've only just got a little bit in, is a series on the great cafes in Italy.
