Posted on their FB today, hopefully this link works:

Sad that they're not being made by VST, but who knows, maybe they'll be great (they don't look like much in that picture).
In the comments Chris makes mention of "precision" shower screens for Spaziale, Marzocco, and e61 machines. Not sure what the utility of a "precision" screen would be on the Vivaldi though, since there are two screens, any thoughts?

I think I can read http://www.imsfiltri.com on the filter boxes in the picture on CC's facebook page. Maybe they're as good as VST? At least Chris thinks they are..and I think he can be trusted in these matters Looks like it's an italian company.

The latest availability update was "30 to 45 days", as of April 15. Hopefully they will be showing up soon.

The baskets are up for pre-order at Chris' Coffee now. They expect the shipment to arrive by the end of the month. The price is... in line with VST. Kind of disappointing the double basket isn't ridgeless.

They also have new "precision" shower screens for La Spaziale machines.

Also a new portafilter with a "soft-grip" and a lighter gauge spring.
1. The original spring could just be bent a bit. It takes about 3 seconds. No need to buy a whole new one.
2. These look nicer than the weird zeppelin portafilters included with the S1(and way better than the original, cheap looking pf's). They still don't look very nice though. I wish I could find an s5 portafilter somewhere, they look much better.
Precision shower screen for +$40? Sheesh.
The fact that the double basket is ridged and the triple is ridgeless seems really weird to me, as if they are just sourcing these baskets from some random place in Italy and calling them "precision". I'll definitely buy one and try it out, but charging VST prices for something that is probably made out of thinner metal and has zero R&D behing it is a bit annoying.

Really? I absolutely love those. Feel good in the grip, weigh a ton... which I like. I wish I could have a bottomless like those. These look nicer than the weird zeppelin portafilters included with the S1

Chris sells a bottomless, FYI. I just prefer LM portafilters, they're slim but still heavy and have a nice texture.

Hi I maybe someone can help me out. What are the advantages of aftermarket baskets? I have a La Spaz Dream with single, double and triple baskets that all work fine. I've never had a extraction issue with any of the baskets so what advantages would plopping down another $30 give me? I'm all for buying new toys that will help me make a better shot but after googling and searching the boards I can't really find any quantifiable facts to support it. I'm pretty new to this and sorry if its a stupid question, much appreciated.
