I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere but it's pretty stellar.

Greetings,

Great learning experience for me, thanks for the link. I was disappointed that they spent very little time discussing the size, shape, and color of the coffee cup. I have always thought that the color of the cup and shape of of handle influenced the coffee flavor. I have used a Chemex for many years but never have been completely satisfied with the coffee it produced. After watching the video I discovered that I have to upgrade my kitchen sink sprayer. Actually I have to buy a new sink since the one we have lacks a sprayer. Perhaps one of our favorite vendors will design a state of the art sprayer head attachment with laser drilled holes to allow for proper water dispersion. This will provide yet another opportunity for some of our posters to do yet another exhausting study on the influence of hole diameters and ground saturation.

Funny, this is exactly the way I make my morning coffee everyday. The only thing that I do differently than what they do in the video is to drink it while jumping on a pogo stick, LOL. I do like the music though.

The width of the spout times the width of the kettle mouth divided by the distance from the tip of the spout to the kettle (in millimeters) equals the number of seconds you should does your water.

For each second, use a half of a scoop of coffee.
(Any scoop will do).

I'm so glad that's finally been cleared up. I've always speculated that there might be a mathematical formula determining all of the brew variables. Now I know there is.

Greetings,

One negative for the new Chemex prototcol is what does one do when unexpected company shows up and demands that great brew the family has been talking about. I certainly do not what relatives hanging around for weeks waiting for a cup of coffee. I think I have some instant Maxwell House, I could use that.

Never mind,
