Wow, it's still up, although, sadly, he's removed the instruction to use 9 bars of steam. His old style (aka incredibly stuck up) way of reviewing is one of the fortunate casualties of the internet age.

Wow! that archive is cool. A sad statement is that the Rogov article was posted back in 2002. At that time I had only been involved in coffee and espresso for just short of two years. Even so, I still knew sufficiently more about coffee than Rogov that I was able to get him to pull the page down with my post to his site... Ahh... Good Times.

Hearing you guys talk about the early days of "internet coffee times" makes me wish so bad I was into coffee like I am now, then.

I would've been able to see so many new things happen, that today, are commonplace. For example, I was going through some OLD coffegeek threads looking for info, and I ran into a thread about frothing pitchers. Jim, you posted telling someone where they might be able to find a 12oz spouted pitcher for latte art, and that you and a few others got them at Coffeefest. You also said that more retailers should soon be carrying them, as "the whole microfoaming thing is finally catching on". ! Jeeze, a 12oz spouted pitcher! My little town's, tiny kitchen supply store has spouted pitchers, from 12oz to 64oz, and plenty of them! Idk.. sounds like it woulda' been fun 8)

:D I was just recalling that myself when reading your post here. The basic pitchers Chris sells were the "I have returned from a great quest and behold" ones the post was talking about.
